Electrician Qualifications

  • Residential and commercial experience mandatory: Industrial exp. a plus

  • Must be able to run up to 2” EMT conduit

  • Must be able to pull and terminate wire up to 250MCM

  • Must have own reliable transportation

  • Must have own hand tools 

  • Must be able to present a clean and neat image for the company

  • Must possess a driver’s license and clean driving record

  • Must be a self-starter and must start on time every day

  • Must have highschool diploma or equivalent

  • Must have people skills

  • Must have organizational skills

  • Must have leadership skills to delegate work to helpers

  • Must be able to assess a project and come up with a Scope of Work, including materials needed and labor and be able to work the job to completion.

  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and one-lines

  • Must be able to use and interpret electrical metering equipment

  • Must have knowledge of NEC

  • Must possess critical thinking and problem solving skills (Much of our work is trying to figure out “What went wrong” and how to fix it)

  • Must be able to keep up with hours and material for multiple jobs at once

  • Must not be color blind

  • Must be able to work off of a ladder

  • Must possess or be able to obtain OSHA 10 certification (Company will provide a course if necessary) 

  • Must be able to pass a drug test

  • Absolutely no drug or alcohol use before or during work time

  • Prescription drugs must be reported to supervisor 

  • Must be able to pass a background check

  • Must be US Citizen

  • Install, maintain, modify and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment

  • Remain in compliance with current National Electric Code

  • Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches and switch gears

  • Complete work orders and record material utilized on jobs

  • Run computer cables, connect computer jacks and plugs and test for adequate operation

  • Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned projects

  • Survey electrical systems, circuits and plans

  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs without assistance

  • Must be able to complete Work Orders
