Electrician Qualifications
Residential and commercial experience mandatory: Industrial exp. a plus
Must be able to run up to 2” EMT conduit
Must be able to pull and terminate wire up to 250MCM
Must have own reliable transportation
Must have own hand tools
Must be able to present a clean and neat image for the company
Must possess a driver’s license and clean driving record
Must be a self-starter and must start on time every day
Must have highschool diploma or equivalent
Must have people skills
Must have organizational skills
Must have leadership skills to delegate work to helpers
Must be able to assess a project and come up with a Scope of Work, including materials needed and labor and be able to work the job to completion.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and one-lines
Must be able to use and interpret electrical metering equipment
Must have knowledge of NEC
Must possess critical thinking and problem solving skills (Much of our work is trying to figure out “What went wrong” and how to fix it)
Must be able to keep up with hours and material for multiple jobs at once
Must not be color blind
Must be able to work off of a ladder
Must possess or be able to obtain OSHA 10 certification (Company will provide a course if necessary)
Must be able to pass a drug test
Absolutely no drug or alcohol use before or during work time
Prescription drugs must be reported to supervisor
Must be able to pass a background check
Must be US Citizen
Install, maintain, modify and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment
Remain in compliance with current National Electric Code
Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches and switch gears
Complete work orders and record material utilized on jobs
Run computer cables, connect computer jacks and plugs and test for adequate operation
Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned projects
Survey electrical systems, circuits and plans
Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs without assistance
Must be able to complete Work Orders
